If your future travel plans require a passport, please allow ample time to complete the application process. Routine service typically takes 4–6 weeks from the date of submission, while expedited service takes approximately 2–3 weeks.


Let us help you plan ahead and avoid delays that could affect your upcoming travels! On Saturday, April 18th, we are hosting a passport event with extended office hours to process passport applications.

When:
  • Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Where:
  • Charlotte County Justice Center
  • 350 E Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda FL 33950
  • 2nd Floor
  • Official Records division
WHO:
  • First-time passport applicants, citizens with expired passports (over 15 years from the issue date), and minors needing to renew their passports are encouraged to take advantage of this event.
